Hey y'all!

Everything is going pretty dang good over here. We went to the Jordan River temple today! Super beautiful chandelier in the celestial room.

Elder Vandehei (district leader) and I went on exchanges this past week, it was a lot of fun. We picked up 5 new people to teach in one day! We also taught a lesson over the phone about the Book of Mormon, which was super fun. Then we lit some tiny fireworks because it was Pioneer Day haha.

I was listening to a talk this week (I was sick for 4 days so I listened to a lot of talks, lost 15 pounds haha) but it was a talk from Brad Wilcox, who used to be a professor at BYU and a mission president in Chile. He spoke about grace and used an analogy that I really liked. He said Christ's grace is like a mom who pays for her child's piano lessons. We don't pay back Christ for what He did. Neither does the kid pay back his mom. Instead, through our efforts we show our thanks to Him. Just like the kid shows his thanks to his mom by practicing. Does the kid's practicing pay back the mom? No. Does it pay the teacher? No. But it shows dedication and gratitude. I thought that was cool. He talked a lot more about how it relates to grace but it would take a while for me to write .

Hey so are all of you guys coming up here to do a mission tour? That's a lot of people .

I can get tickets here, but it will only be 4, you, dad, me, and Grazia wants to come with us (most recent convert).

Anyways, love y'all! Have a great week!

I made some chicken alfredo, and then I threw it up an hour later hahaha because I didn't know I was still sick

This week has gone pretty awesome! Taught my first actual lesson with a golden investigator, who we hope to baptize in 2 weeks! (He is in the plaid shirt in the photo) I also had my first baptism yesterday! It was amazing!  I am taking it easy, well trying to, we walk to the chapel to do splits and everytime I feel like I trip and hurt my ankle a little more, but I can feel it getting better. However, I am not taking ibuprofen...está bien! It doesn't hurt that much!  The church is in a circular form. We live about 5 minutes North East of the church, down a street called Juy Juy.  Honestly, I think Tuxtla is larger than Tucson! It is huge! And we are surrounded by mountains, if you think Tucson is surrounded, think again! I legit feel like we are in a bowl! It is green everywere! And even though we are finishing up mango season, we are still eating mangos everyday! It is really weird slurping a super juicy mango out of a hole! This is how we eat mangoes: ...

P-Day is Thursday this week because we are going to the temple that day, so P-Day was moved. Wow! This week was insane!! This will probably be my biggest email ever. As you all already know, we had transfers and we knew I was leaving but didn't know where. Monday night we found out I will be going to the Murray 2nd Ward! And my new companion will be Élder Solis! He was born and raised in Miami Florida, but his parents are from Guatemala. His first language is Spanish, and he just finished his training before I came so he has about 3 and a half months in the mission. He is awesome, loves swimming and volleyball, plus he is also a professional dancer. There are also sisters in the ward now as well because the area is huge. What stinks is that they are on bikes and we are in a car because of my ankle. I would love to drive them places if I could, but I can't. They are awesome though! Their names are Hermana Oteo who is from San Diego, but her parents are from Mexico. She ...
