I learned a lot during my studies this week. I don't really have very much time to go unto all the details, but I'll share one thing.
I was reading in 2 Nephi chapter 1 and I noticed something I hadn't noticed before. In verse 13 it says, "...and shake off the awful chains by which ye are bound..." and my initial thought from reading that is that the chains of Satan make us think that there is no getting out, no return. They are going to bind us forever. But then I read the phrase "shake off" again, and it made me think that the chains aren't really binding us. That we can just shrug them off. That Satan wants us to think that he has power over us, when in reality, he doesn't. We have power over him. I don't know, it just kind of stuck out to me.
Anyways, this week was kind of slow, but Elder Martinez and I have made several good plans (hopefully through the Spirit) to pick the work up in this area again.
Anyways, love y'all! Have a good week.
