This week was an awesome week!

We have been teaching his one lady from Colombia who is seriously awesome. She already has a baptismal goal for August 25th, and we set it up with her during the first lesson. She was a little skeptical but she is super ready! She also has a younger daughter who is going to be participating in the lessons as well.

Anyways, on Saturday President M. Russell Ballard (acting President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles), Elder Craig C. Christensen (of the Seventy), Elder Brook P. Hales (of the Seventy), and Elder Richard Holzapfel (Area Seventy over the Utah area) all came to our mission to do a special mission conference! The mission told us about 2 weeks ago that we would be having a special mission conference but they didn't say who was coming. President Ballard was amazing. He is Super funny. One thing that he said (there were many this is just one) that stuck out to me was, "You have to be the best missionaries in the Church because you have the most responsibility." In the end he bore his testimony and told us that if we give ourselves to God, then he blessed us saying that we will have increased faith, increased courage, and increased baptisms. And he gave that as an apostolic blessing, in the name of Jesus Christ. It was powerful.

I love Alma 29! Especially verses 1-3, one of my favorite missionary scriptures ever. We actually talked about the first phrase Alma says in that chapter "Oh that I were an angel"

I'm glad I've been looking healthy! I'm down to about 230 right now think, with plans to get down to 220. Maybe even 215!

The celestial room was very plain, there wasn't very much stuff in there, very beautiful chandelier though. Now the SLC temples celestial room is absolutely gorgeous. I love that one a ton.

No worries dad. I kinda figured you were just busy :). I like that quote. It reminds me of King Benjamin, which I think is one of the best kings in history. He told his people that he has been in their service and then gave a magnificent sermon on service. What a great example of magnifying your calling, even though that wasn't his calling, but it counts right? ;)

I'll forward the newsletter to y'all right now.

Love you guys! Have a great week!

This week has gone pretty awesome! Taught my first actual lesson with a golden investigator, who we hope to baptize in 2 weeks! (He is in the plaid shirt in the photo) I also had my first baptism yesterday! It was amazing!  I am taking it easy, well trying to, we walk to the chapel to do splits and everytime I feel like I trip and hurt my ankle a little more, but I can feel it getting better. However, I am not taking ibuprofen...está bien! It doesn't hurt that much!  The church is in a circular form. We live about 5 minutes North East of the church, down a street called Juy Juy.  Honestly, I think Tuxtla is larger than Tucson! It is huge! And we are surrounded by mountains, if you think Tucson is surrounded, think again! I legit feel like we are in a bowl! It is green everywere! And even though we are finishing up mango season, we are still eating mangos everyday! It is really weird slurping a super juicy mango out of a hole! This is how we eat mangoes: ...

P-Day is Thursday this week because we are going to the temple that day, so P-Day was moved. Wow! This week was insane!! This will probably be my biggest email ever. As you all already know, we had transfers and we knew I was leaving but didn't know where. Monday night we found out I will be going to the Murray 2nd Ward! And my new companion will be Élder Solis! He was born and raised in Miami Florida, but his parents are from Guatemala. His first language is Spanish, and he just finished his training before I came so he has about 3 and a half months in the mission. He is awesome, loves swimming and volleyball, plus he is also a professional dancer. There are also sisters in the ward now as well because the area is huge. What stinks is that they are on bikes and we are in a car because of my ankle. I would love to drive them places if I could, but I can't. They are awesome though! Their names are Hermana Oteo who is from San Diego, but her parents are from Mexico. She ...
