Monday, April 16, 2018 - Transfers

So, I am leaving Coalville. It is sad to say you're leaving an area you have been in for 7 and a half months. People have always been telling me that I have been here so long that they might as well move my records into the stake!! But it has been real Coalville, I'll miss y'all.

Anyways, last P-Day we went to the city museum underneath the courthouse. There was a ton of neat stuff! It was cool to learn a little about the history of Coalville before I get shipped out of here.

This week was pretty fun, I went on exchanges with Elder Salemme from Hawaii in Park City. We went to a place called Todd Hollow which has a TON of Hispanics. They wanted me to help them with my Spanish in giving referrals to the Spanish sisters. We gave them 10 referrals, 8 return appointments, and a potential golden investigator! It was pretty fun. A LOT of tracting. We also had some cereal that is not on the market. There is a member in Park City that works for a huge, well-known cereal factory that gave us some sales sample cereal. I have pictures for proof but I can't show them yet, because it is not on the market, so it was super cool to be able to taste something that no one else has tasted yet!! (p.s. that cereal was AMAZING).

Next week y'all will get to find out where I am and who my new companion is!!

Love y'all!!

This week has gone pretty awesome! Taught my first actual lesson with a golden investigator, who we hope to baptize in 2 weeks! (He is in the plaid shirt in the photo) I also had my first baptism yesterday! It was amazing!  I am taking it easy, well trying to, we walk to the chapel to do splits and everytime I feel like I trip and hurt my ankle a little more, but I can feel it getting better. However, I am not taking ibuprofen...está bien! It doesn't hurt that much!  The church is in a circular form. We live about 5 minutes North East of the church, down a street called Juy Juy.  Honestly, I think Tuxtla is larger than Tucson! It is huge! And we are surrounded by mountains, if you think Tucson is surrounded, think again! I legit feel like we are in a bowl! It is green everywere! And even though we are finishing up mango season, we are still eating mangos everyday! It is really weird slurping a super juicy mango out of a hole! This is how we eat mangoes: ...

P-Day is Thursday this week because we are going to the temple that day, so P-Day was moved. Wow! This week was insane!! This will probably be my biggest email ever. As you all already know, we had transfers and we knew I was leaving but didn't know where. Monday night we found out I will be going to the Murray 2nd Ward! And my new companion will be Élder Solis! He was born and raised in Miami Florida, but his parents are from Guatemala. His first language is Spanish, and he just finished his training before I came so he has about 3 and a half months in the mission. He is awesome, loves swimming and volleyball, plus he is also a professional dancer. There are also sisters in the ward now as well because the area is huge. What stinks is that they are on bikes and we are in a car because of my ankle. I would love to drive them places if I could, but I can't. They are awesome though! Their names are Hermana Oteo who is from San Diego, but her parents are from Mexico. She ...
