So I am guessing y'all want to know where I am and who my companion is? Well my companion is Elder Trincado and he hails from Santiago, Chile! He is super cool. Was born and raised in the church, is the second oldest of 5 kids, and didn't really speak any English until he came out on the mission. He speaks really good English now.
So, we live in a place that the mission gave a well fit nickname called "The Shack". It is essentially that too! It could pass as a small cabin, maybe. But that is pushing it. Even the members here call it the shack! Haha but I absolutely love it. Pictures included of front, sleeping area, kitchen, laundry/storage, bathroom.

And as far as the area goes, well, we live in a small town called Coalville, Utah and are serving in the Coalville Utah Stake. However, we cover a lot of the small towns around it in English including; Henefer, Echo, Emory, Hoytsville, Wanship, Rockport, Peoa, and Oakley. Also, when I mean small, that is exactly what I mean. Everyone knows everyone. That is all in English though. We also cover a very small Spanish Branch in Kamas that has about 30-40 people attending it.
Purple outline is the area - Below, Elders Trincado and Wilkes in the shack
Alright, now about the people in our area. We have an investigator, F___ (18), on date for the 30th! I am super excited. He is super awesome and could potentially be a very good missionary. Everytime we have a lesson with him it seems like he gets even more amazing! He is super ready for baptism and is going to have his baptismal interview this coming Tuesday.

We teach quite a few Peruvian sheep herders, and our zone leaders are in Evanston. There are only 2 districts in the zone, one in Evanston, and ours which is Coalville, Kamas, and Park City

I also met someone by the name of R___. He is an older Texan Baptist. He likes to have missionaries over, and when they leave the area he likes to know if they have success in their other areas. He is a super nice guy but I don't think he will get baptized anytime soon because he thinks that Joseph Smith was on shrooms during the first vision, but he is a fun person to talk to. He also gave us some veggies from his garden to take home.

Every Wednesday and Friday mornings we get the opportunity to play volleyball with some sisters from the Coalville Stake. Honestly, I think they all played volleyball in high school or college or something because they are all pretty dang good, especially a few of them. Elder Trincado and I are the odd ones out! But it is still super fun, and I am probably going to improve my volleyball skills a ton.

Y'all are probably wanting to know what the weather is like here, and maybe even the country. Well, there is a lot of cows. And more cows. And horses. And sheep. And llamas. And chickens. And minks. But not a lot of people lol. And well, it is already snowing, as y'all will see in a couple of pictures below. It is about 40-50 degrees colder here than it is down in Tucson right now. Although, we are supposed to get some nice weather (67 and partly cloudy) near the weekend this week. So let's hope that that rings true!
Snow in September!

We are still in a car, it is a VERY nice 2017 Subaru Legacy. As far as other missionaries, the only ones close to us are in Kamas (in English though) and Park City in the family tree center there. Also, the zone leaders go about twice a transfer down to the office, and maybe once people from the office come here, so about 3 times a transfer maybe.

Mosiah 18:17 - And they were called the church of God, or the church of Christ, from that time forward. And it came to pass that whosoever was baptized by the power and authority of God was added to his church.

This week has gone pretty awesome! Taught my first actual lesson with a golden investigator, who we hope to baptize in 2 weeks! (He is in the plaid shirt in the photo) I also had my first baptism yesterday! It was amazing!  I am taking it easy, well trying to, we walk to the chapel to do splits and everytime I feel like I trip and hurt my ankle a little more, but I can feel it getting better. However, I am not taking ibuprofen...está bien! It doesn't hurt that much!  The church is in a circular form. We live about 5 minutes North East of the church, down a street called Juy Juy.  Honestly, I think Tuxtla is larger than Tucson! It is huge! And we are surrounded by mountains, if you think Tucson is surrounded, think again! I legit feel like we are in a bowl! It is green everywere! And even though we are finishing up mango season, we are still eating mangos everyday! It is really weird slurping a super juicy mango out of a hole! This is how we eat mangoes: ...

P-Day is Thursday this week because we are going to the temple that day, so P-Day was moved. Wow! This week was insane!! This will probably be my biggest email ever. As you all already know, we had transfers and we knew I was leaving but didn't know where. Monday night we found out I will be going to the Murray 2nd Ward! And my new companion will be Élder Solis! He was born and raised in Miami Florida, but his parents are from Guatemala. His first language is Spanish, and he just finished his training before I came so he has about 3 and a half months in the mission. He is awesome, loves swimming and volleyball, plus he is also a professional dancer. There are also sisters in the ward now as well because the area is huge. What stinks is that they are on bikes and we are in a car because of my ankle. I would love to drive them places if I could, but I can't. They are awesome though! Their names are Hermana Oteo who is from San Diego, but her parents are from Mexico. She ...
