We had two exchanges this week! It was super fun. The first one I was with Elder Montano who is the companion of Elder Solis. It was super fun! We were able to contact several people, and set up lessons for a later date. We also had a lesson with a couple of our investigators which was super awesome.
While on exchanges an English member called us to give some service. Now, she is known to be super picky, which is why she called us instead of English elders because they don't go to her house anymore. Basically she just had us pick her weeds, and yes, she was really picky. Our President actually told us to hand over all service activities from members to the Relief Society or Elder's Quorum in our ward from now on because we are supposed to be more focused on the work, which does include service but for less actives and non-members.

And then Elder Gonzalez and I went on exchanges with zone leaders! That was a ton of fun. I went with Elder Adams (Elder Solis' trainer) and it was amazing! We have SO much in common! It is weird. We both like basketball, hiking, camping, singing, Marvel, and other things. It is crazy. We actually talked a lot of basketball. One thing he wants me to do is to let him know when I am helping out another missionary, because I do that a lot haha.
On Thursday we had our zone conference!! That was super spiritual. One thing that President said about Joseph Smith really stuck with me. Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon in just 65 days. That was his first draft too, not his final draft. 530 pages translated in 65 days. One thing that Sister Hillier said was something that President Uchtdorf said in the October 2009 conference. "The privilege to work is a gift, that the power to work is a blessing, that love of work is success."

Today we went to the temple and it was an amazing experience. I was able to give out some names and 7 people from my tree had their ordinances finished for them. It was an awesome feeling to be able to help those who are gone receive their ordinances. Also, while I was waiting for my companion who was praying at the time, I had the urge to open up a triple combination on a table. It opened up to Doctrine and Covenants 78:17 which is a super good scripture and it is true. We don't know all the blessings that Heavenly Father has in store for us. All we need to do if continue keeping his commandments and we will receive them.

Alma 48:17 - Yea, verily, verily I say unto you, if all men had been, and were, and ever would be, like unto Moroni, behold, the very powers of hell would have been shaken forever; yea, the devil would never have power over the hearts of the children of men.

This week has gone pretty awesome! Taught my first actual lesson with a golden investigator, who we hope to baptize in 2 weeks! (He is in the plaid shirt in the photo) I also had my first baptism yesterday! It was amazing!  I am taking it easy, well trying to, we walk to the chapel to do splits and everytime I feel like I trip and hurt my ankle a little more, but I can feel it getting better. However, I am not taking ibuprofen...está bien! It doesn't hurt that much!  The church is in a circular form. We live about 5 minutes North East of the church, down a street called Juy Juy.  Honestly, I think Tuxtla is larger than Tucson! It is huge! And we are surrounded by mountains, if you think Tucson is surrounded, think again! I legit feel like we are in a bowl! It is green everywere! And even though we are finishing up mango season, we are still eating mangos everyday! It is really weird slurping a super juicy mango out of a hole! This is how we eat mangoes: ...

P-Day is Thursday this week because we are going to the temple that day, so P-Day was moved. Wow! This week was insane!! This will probably be my biggest email ever. As you all already know, we had transfers and we knew I was leaving but didn't know where. Monday night we found out I will be going to the Murray 2nd Ward! And my new companion will be Élder Solis! He was born and raised in Miami Florida, but his parents are from Guatemala. His first language is Spanish, and he just finished his training before I came so he has about 3 and a half months in the mission. He is awesome, loves swimming and volleyball, plus he is also a professional dancer. There are also sisters in the ward now as well because the area is huge. What stinks is that they are on bikes and we are in a car because of my ankle. I would love to drive them places if I could, but I can't. They are awesome though! Their names are Hermana Oteo who is from San Diego, but her parents are from Mexico. She ...
