Well... I finally got my toenail removed this week! I don't know why, but this time I was as light headed as ever. I never really get too light headed with needles, but for some reason this one was horrible, and I just don't know why. Maybe because it was at the mission office and not at a hospital, that might have something to do with it, but it was weird. Plus, the doctor took off quite a bit of toenail lol, when you heard the 'snap' once he actually cut the toenail, Elder Gonzalez looked like he was about to pass out! jajaja

That same day, we were driving down to Midvale to our Zone Activity (we played a game that had dodgeball/quidich/capture the flag all mixed together! Super fun) it was raining a ton, but super sunny outside! Haha one of our members told us the next day that he thought it was the Second Coming! Anyways, so that game we played, I didn't play because of my ankle (plus I had just removed my toenail so yeah), but I was the ref. I had a lot of fun saying "Fuera!" which means "out" in Spanish to those who got out - lol.

On Tuesday it was kinda boring, in the morning and afternoon at least. My companion had a leadership meeting with the whole mission so I was with the companion of another district leader, and we both didn't have a lesson for the day so we just tried contacting referrals in both of our areas. But I'm the evening we had a ward missionary barbecue, which was really fun. I even made 4 loaves of banana bread for everyone! That was fun, and it turned out pretty good! At least, that's what everyone told me lol.

We had our zone meeting on Friday and that was pretty fun. The first counselor in the mission presidency was there. He is from Brazil but speaks Spanish too, and obviously Portuguese and English. We also had Elder Guapo (He is the specialist in marriages and divorces in the mission, for the past 17 years) come and talk to us. His real name is actually Elder Dehle and he is American but he likes to be called Elder Guapo, and for those of you who doesn't know what that means, it is Elder Handsome haha. He even has a missionary name tag that says Elder Guapo on it.
On Saturday there was an awesome quinceañera. We helped set up (which means we automatically get an invitation to the party as missionaries) and there was a live mariachi. The whole thing was pretty well done and, of course, SUPER expensive. We couldn't stay for the whole thing cause we had to be in by 9 lol but it was pretty fun.

On Sunday, I don't know what happened. I think it was the dinner we had yesterday, or maybe my stomach just said "Not today." but I was pretty darn sick. Let's just say I saw the last meal that I had in a way I didn't want to lol. I got better in the evening though. Well enough to go to the event we had that night. One of the members of our ward, Hermana Mendivil, sang for the ward, and for nonmembers too. She did awesome, and sounded amazing! She actually gave me one of the pieces she sang. Because He Lives by Kenneth Cope. It is a beautiful piece. If you haven't heard the song, y'all should look it up!

Moroni 7:48 - Wherefore, my beloved brethren, pray unto the Father with all the energy of heart, that ye may be filled with this love, which he hath bestowed upon all who are true followers of his Son, Jesus Christ; that ye may become the sons of God; that when he shall appear we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is; that we may have this hope; that we may be purified even as he is pure. Amen.

This week has gone pretty awesome! Taught my first actual lesson with a golden investigator, who we hope to baptize in 2 weeks! (He is in the plaid shirt in the photo) I also had my first baptism yesterday! It was amazing!  I am taking it easy, well trying to, we walk to the chapel to do splits and everytime I feel like I trip and hurt my ankle a little more, but I can feel it getting better. However, I am not taking ibuprofen...está bien! It doesn't hurt that much!  The church is in a circular form. We live about 5 minutes North East of the church, down a street called Juy Juy.  Honestly, I think Tuxtla is larger than Tucson! It is huge! And we are surrounded by mountains, if you think Tucson is surrounded, think again! I legit feel like we are in a bowl! It is green everywere! And even though we are finishing up mango season, we are still eating mangos everyday! It is really weird slurping a super juicy mango out of a hole! This is how we eat mangoes: ...

P-Day is Thursday this week because we are going to the temple that day, so P-Day was moved. Wow! This week was insane!! This will probably be my biggest email ever. As you all already know, we had transfers and we knew I was leaving but didn't know where. Monday night we found out I will be going to the Murray 2nd Ward! And my new companion will be Élder Solis! He was born and raised in Miami Florida, but his parents are from Guatemala. His first language is Spanish, and he just finished his training before I came so he has about 3 and a half months in the mission. He is awesome, loves swimming and volleyball, plus he is also a professional dancer. There are also sisters in the ward now as well because the area is huge. What stinks is that they are on bikes and we are in a car because of my ankle. I would love to drive them places if I could, but I can't. They are awesome though! Their names are Hermana Oteo who is from San Diego, but her parents are from Mexico. She ...
