Hello everyone!!

This week was pretty good. Elder Solis was sick for a couple days but it was alright in the end. We had Zone Conference on Friday which was super fun!! The main focus was on receiving personal revelation. President asked us three questions; How are we able to receive revelation?, What can the Holy Ghost do for us?, and How do we disinvite the Holy Ghost? One thing that really stuck out to me was when we read the chapter of "Music in Our Personal Lives" in the preface of the hymn book. The sentence that stood out to me was "They can fill our souls with heavenly thoughts and bring us a spirit of peace."

On Saturday we had a service opportunity at Highland High School! It was SO much fun. There were different things that you could do. A bunch of other missionaries and I painted the wrestling room! It was a ton of fun, and we had pizza afterwards!!

Then that same day there was an activity for the young women called "Nuestras Raices" (Our Roots) and they had people come and represent their countries by bringing their native foods! The food was REALLY good. It was a fundraiser, so you had to pay for tickets, and the different food cost different amounts of tickets, it was a little pricey but loads of people came!!

Alfajores!!

We have two awesome investigators right now. Both are from Sonora, Mexico. One is super awesome and we hope she will want to be baptized. She has met with missionaries before but wasn't keeping commitments. When we knocked on her door she told us that just the other day she found her Book of Mormon when she was cleaning her house!! Sounds like a sign to me ;)

Love you all!

Matthew 6:19-21 - Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

This week has gone pretty awesome! Taught my first actual lesson with a golden investigator, who we hope to baptize in 2 weeks! (He is in the plaid shirt in the photo) I also had my first baptism yesterday! It was amazing!  I am taking it easy, well trying to, we walk to the chapel to do splits and everytime I feel like I trip and hurt my ankle a little more, but I can feel it getting better. However, I am not taking ibuprofen...está bien! It doesn't hurt that much!  The church is in a circular form. We live about 5 minutes North East of the church, down a street called Juy Juy.  Honestly, I think Tuxtla is larger than Tucson! It is huge! And we are surrounded by mountains, if you think Tucson is surrounded, think again! I legit feel like we are in a bowl! It is green everywere! And even though we are finishing up mango season, we are still eating mangos everyday! It is really weird slurping a super juicy mango out of a hole! This is how we eat mangoes: ...

P-Day is Thursday this week because we are going to the temple that day, so P-Day was moved. Wow! This week was insane!! This will probably be my biggest email ever. As you all already know, we had transfers and we knew I was leaving but didn't know where. Monday night we found out I will be going to the Murray 2nd Ward! And my new companion will be Élder Solis! He was born and raised in Miami Florida, but his parents are from Guatemala. His first language is Spanish, and he just finished his training before I came so he has about 3 and a half months in the mission. He is awesome, loves swimming and volleyball, plus he is also a professional dancer. There are also sisters in the ward now as well because the area is huge. What stinks is that they are on bikes and we are in a car because of my ankle. I would love to drive them places if I could, but I can't. They are awesome though! Their names are Hermana Oteo who is from San Diego, but her parents are from Mexico. She ...
