Hello Everyone!!

It has been incredibly warm this past week. And I mean in the 50's! I am not even wearing a sweater!! This just means that we are going to get a huge cold front next week, so I will be layering up like an artichoke.

Man, this has been an awesome week. A, who was one of our investigators until we had to refer him to the YSA sisters, moved to North Salt Lake and out of the mission!! The sisters (who are super cool) were able to put him on date for January 28th before he left!! We were super happy at this news, but sad that he moved up north.

Saturday was AWESOME!! We had a "lesson" with J at temple square!! Oh man it was truly amazing. I got some amazing pictures of the temple as well. We basically just taught him about the temple building (basically everything in the South Visitor's Center) and how they made it. It was pretty cool. Then we had lunch in the Joseph Smith Memorial building and talked about the things we learned. It was an awesome day. Temple Square is outside the mission (only 5 minutes) but we have permission to go there to teach lessons and it has great resources.

I met an Elder Wilkes at the JSM Building!! It was really weird. He is from Idaho, and I don't know if we are related. He works in church headquarters for family history. He is going to look up how we are related.

I am wearing some of the Smart Wool socks you sent. They are really comfortable. Thanks for the Hi-Chews too! Elder LeTerneau’s knees are hurting him again so he might go home again and just do a service mission. Please keep him in your prayers.

We received transfer calls on Saturday. I am getting transferred…sad, because I only had four weeks with Elder LeTerneau. But I am glad I am going to a Spanish area now. We don't know where I am going, and we won't know where until tonight. We kinda figured I would be. Although, everyone thinks that I am going to a spanish ward in Midvale LOL. I am already packed. So next week I will tell y'all where I am!!

Mosiah 28:3 Now they were desirous that salvation should be declared to every creature, for they could not bear that any human soul should perish; yea, even the very thoughts that any soul should endure endless torment did cause them to quake and tremble.

This week has gone pretty awesome! Taught my first actual lesson with a golden investigator, who we hope to baptize in 2 weeks! (He is in the plaid shirt in the photo) I also had my first baptism yesterday! It was amazing!  I am taking it easy, well trying to, we walk to the chapel to do splits and everytime I feel like I trip and hurt my ankle a little more, but I can feel it getting better. However, I am not taking ibuprofen...está bien! It doesn't hurt that much!  The church is in a circular form. We live about 5 minutes North East of the church, down a street called Juy Juy.  Honestly, I think Tuxtla is larger than Tucson! It is huge! And we are surrounded by mountains, if you think Tucson is surrounded, think again! I legit feel like we are in a bowl! It is green everywere! And even though we are finishing up mango season, we are still eating mangos everyday! It is really weird slurping a super juicy mango out of a hole! This is how we eat mangoes: ...

P-Day is Thursday this week because we are going to the temple that day, so P-Day was moved. Wow! This week was insane!! This will probably be my biggest email ever. As you all already know, we had transfers and we knew I was leaving but didn't know where. Monday night we found out I will be going to the Murray 2nd Ward! And my new companion will be Élder Solis! He was born and raised in Miami Florida, but his parents are from Guatemala. His first language is Spanish, and he just finished his training before I came so he has about 3 and a half months in the mission. He is awesome, loves swimming and volleyball, plus he is also a professional dancer. There are also sisters in the ward now as well because the area is huge. What stinks is that they are on bikes and we are in a car because of my ankle. I would love to drive them places if I could, but I can't. They are awesome though! Their names are Hermana Oteo who is from San Diego, but her parents are from Mexico. She ...
