Man!! This week was amazing! Well, basically just until the weekend. Nothing exciting happened during the week, besides the worldwide missionary broadcast. That was awesome. We have a new schedule change. It isn't super different during the week, P-Day is the only day that changed drastically. We no longer have studies on P-Day. That is so we can get all the things that we need to get done on time. Our P-Day now starts at 8am and goes till 6pm.

The house where Elder Wilkes lives - pretty nice indeed.
A far cry from Mexico.

We couldn't get any lessons in until Friday because everyone backed out on us. We taught a family of investigators who live with their aunt and uncle who is a member and they accepted the invitation to go to church. Then, on Saturday, Elder LeTerneau and I were able to go to J's baptism!! Man what a blessing that was. They had to do it over again 4 times because the first time his elbow was out, the second time they didn't say the prayer and just went to the dunking, the third time he forgot to plug his nose so his hand was out of the water, and then they got it right on the fourth time. We also learned that A, one of Elder LeTerneau's and my golden investigators, also got baptized on Saturday! We couldn't have gone because Jason's started at 430pm in Sandy, Utah while Aaron's started at 6pm in Bountiful, Utah. But it is okay because he is going to send us pictures.

Baptism!!

Then on Sunday, was when all our number happened. We had 5 investigators at church, 3 new investigators, and were able to put 2 of our investigators on date for February 25th!! About the baptismal dates, we taught 2 of the Peruanas (M and J, we met J the day we asked her to be baptized). J was asking so many questions about baptism, one of them including "So I can get baptized even though I am Catholic?" My companion and I looked at each other and both thought, "Yup, let's ask her." And so we gave her the baptismal invitation, as well as M who is also an investigator, and they both accepted! They are both coming with two of our rock solid Branch Missionaries, and my companion and I to Temple Square this Saturday. The work is insane! We really didn’t think that the family we taught on Friday would come to church, but they did, and stayed for ALL 3 HOURS!!

Headed to Kneaders for lunch. They have discounts and members will often pay for us, too.

This week has gone pretty awesome! Taught my first actual lesson with a golden investigator, who we hope to baptize in 2 weeks! (He is in the plaid shirt in the photo) I also had my first baptism yesterday! It was amazing!  I am taking it easy, well trying to, we walk to the chapel to do splits and everytime I feel like I trip and hurt my ankle a little more, but I can feel it getting better. However, I am not taking ibuprofen...está bien! It doesn't hurt that much!  The church is in a circular form. We live about 5 minutes North East of the church, down a street called Juy Juy.  Honestly, I think Tuxtla is larger than Tucson! It is huge! And we are surrounded by mountains, if you think Tucson is surrounded, think again! I legit feel like we are in a bowl! It is green everywere! And even though we are finishing up mango season, we are still eating mangos everyday! It is really weird slurping a super juicy mango out of a hole! This is how we eat mangoes: ...

P-Day is Thursday this week because we are going to the temple that day, so P-Day was moved. Wow! This week was insane!! This will probably be my biggest email ever. As you all already know, we had transfers and we knew I was leaving but didn't know where. Monday night we found out I will be going to the Murray 2nd Ward! And my new companion will be Élder Solis! He was born and raised in Miami Florida, but his parents are from Guatemala. His first language is Spanish, and he just finished his training before I came so he has about 3 and a half months in the mission. He is awesome, loves swimming and volleyball, plus he is also a professional dancer. There are also sisters in the ward now as well because the area is huge. What stinks is that they are on bikes and we are in a car because of my ankle. I would love to drive them places if I could, but I can't. They are awesome though! Their names are Hermana Oteo who is from San Diego, but her parents are from Mexico. She ...
