Snow again!

Man. This week was crazy. For some reason the work grew like a wildfire. We picked up 9 new investigators in 4 days!! Crazy. We also received 26 referrals this week! 4 of the new investigators are parents in 2 separate families. They are super cool and nice. One of the dads was super interested, but he is Pentecostal and plans to open his own services in his house someday. Our district leader, who used to be Pentecostal, told us to work fast with them, so we will do the best we can. 2 other investigators are named Pedro and Pedro. One Pedro, Pedro G, is the son of a recent convert, and wants to be baptized but can't because they don't have custody yet. When Pedro does finally get baptized, the ordinance will be performed by none other than Elder Neal L. Anderson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles! Our other 3 investigators are YSA aged women from Peru. They are super cool and are really accepting. On February 4th we plan to take them to Temple Square where another Sister Missionary from Peru gives tours. So that will be fun!!

We got about 2 feet of snow this past Saturday and my companion and I were locked into the house because of it until the evening when it finally stopped snowing and the snow plows started clearing the roads. We almost got stuck even on our way to church the next day because it had all turned into slush and ice, which is harder to drive in.

But! Other than that, all is well. The work is going strong, and yes, I am staying warm.

This week has gone pretty awesome! Taught my first actual lesson with a golden investigator, who we hope to baptize in 2 weeks! (He is in the plaid shirt in the photo) I also had my first baptism yesterday! It was amazing!  I am taking it easy, well trying to, we walk to the chapel to do splits and everytime I feel like I trip and hurt my ankle a little more, but I can feel it getting better. However, I am not taking ibuprofen...está bien! It doesn't hurt that much!  The church is in a circular form. We live about 5 minutes North East of the church, down a street called Juy Juy.  Honestly, I think Tuxtla is larger than Tucson! It is huge! And we are surrounded by mountains, if you think Tucson is surrounded, think again! I legit feel like we are in a bowl! It is green everywere! And even though we are finishing up mango season, we are still eating mangos everyday! It is really weird slurping a super juicy mango out of a hole! This is how we eat mangoes: ...

P-Day is Thursday this week because we are going to the temple that day, so P-Day was moved. Wow! This week was insane!! This will probably be my biggest email ever. As you all already know, we had transfers and we knew I was leaving but didn't know where. Monday night we found out I will be going to the Murray 2nd Ward! And my new companion will be Élder Solis! He was born and raised in Miami Florida, but his parents are from Guatemala. His first language is Spanish, and he just finished his training before I came so he has about 3 and a half months in the mission. He is awesome, loves swimming and volleyball, plus he is also a professional dancer. There are also sisters in the ward now as well because the area is huge. What stinks is that they are on bikes and we are in a car because of my ankle. I would love to drive them places if I could, but I can't. They are awesome though! Their names are Hermana Oteo who is from San Diego, but her parents are from Mexico. She ...
