Hello everyone!!

This week was super fantastic!! We received 11 new investigators! It was wonderful. We got 7 of them on Tuesday night, which is when we have our ward correlation meeting (we do splits with ward missionaries) and it was a blast!! 8 of the 11 news are 2 separate families.

We also found a new and awesome place to go and find new people. We didn't think it was super helpful to the area because it looks to0 nice. But, when talking with a Latino worker who works there, he said that there are a ton of Hispanics who live there. So we will be going there quite often now.

Elder Gonzalez and I are doing awesome together. He has quite an amazing story, and a strong desire for the work. Especially since this is the district leader area and now the sister training leader area, we both need to work hard and find new people to teach. This will be easier because in our district meeting 2 weeks ago, our district leader had us all come up with ways that we can find new investigators. We were able to come up with 34 different ideas! It was amazing, and obviously, it really helped us this week.

L was able to go and do baptisms for the dead this past Saturday with our ward!! He loved the experience and wants to go again. He was able to baptize 5 of the names that I found in my family history!! It was awesome. The ward was able to take about 25 names of mine to the temple to do the baptisms and confirmations. J, one of our other recent converts, was also able to go, and she loved it as well! She hopes to take her own names to the temple to do their work someday.

Well, I love you all and hope you have an amazing week!!

This week has gone pretty awesome! Taught my first actual lesson with a golden investigator, who we hope to baptize in 2 weeks! (He is in the plaid shirt in the photo) I also had my first baptism yesterday! It was amazing!  I am taking it easy, well trying to, we walk to the chapel to do splits and everytime I feel like I trip and hurt my ankle a little more, but I can feel it getting better. However, I am not taking ibuprofen...está bien! It doesn't hurt that much!  The church is in a circular form. We live about 5 minutes North East of the church, down a street called Juy Juy.  Honestly, I think Tuxtla is larger than Tucson! It is huge! And we are surrounded by mountains, if you think Tucson is surrounded, think again! I legit feel like we are in a bowl! It is green everywere! And even though we are finishing up mango season, we are still eating mangos everyday! It is really weird slurping a super juicy mango out of a hole! This is how we eat mangoes: ...

P-Day is Thursday this week because we are going to the temple that day, so P-Day was moved. Wow! This week was insane!! This will probably be my biggest email ever. As you all already know, we had transfers and we knew I was leaving but didn't know where. Monday night we found out I will be going to the Murray 2nd Ward! And my new companion will be Élder Solis! He was born and raised in Miami Florida, but his parents are from Guatemala. His first language is Spanish, and he just finished his training before I came so he has about 3 and a half months in the mission. He is awesome, loves swimming and volleyball, plus he is also a professional dancer. There are also sisters in the ward now as well because the area is huge. What stinks is that they are on bikes and we are in a car because of my ankle. I would love to drive them places if I could, but I can't. They are awesome though! Their names are Hermana Oteo who is from San Diego, but her parents are from Mexico. She ...
