New Companion!!

Hello Everyone!! How goes it?

You are probably wondering who my new companion is. His name is Elder Gonzalez, and he was my district leader for a transfer two transfers ago. He is from Encinitas, California and has been out for almost 18 months. He was originally called English speaking, as that is his first language, but because of the need for Spanish missionaries, President moved him about 5 transfers ago. He is super awesome and cool, and is the only member (besides his less-active younger sister) in his family.

This week was awesome!! We had two baptisms, one of V and the other of L. It was super awesome!! V was super shy during the whole thing, and during the confirmations on Sunday. But L gathered the courage to bare his testimony in both his baptismal service and during sacrament meeting on Sunday.

It snowed again!! IN THE MIDDLE OF MAY!! SNOW!!!! It was ridiculous!! It was like 45 degrees that day in May! Definitely not something you would experience in Tucson. You guys are probably above 100 degrees now right? Wouldn't surprise me.

Anyways, I love you all and hope you have an amazing week!!

Doctrine and Covenants 58:26-28 - For behold, it is not meet that I should command in all things; for he that is compelled in all things, the same is a slothful and not a wise servant; wherefore he receiveth no reward. Verily I say, men should be anxiously engaged in a good cause, and do many things of their own free will, and bring to pass much righteousness; For the power is in them, wherein they are agents unto themselves. And inasmuch as men do good they shall in nowise lose their reward.

This week has gone pretty awesome! Taught my first actual lesson with a golden investigator, who we hope to baptize in 2 weeks! (He is in the plaid shirt in the photo) I also had my first baptism yesterday! It was amazing!  I am taking it easy, well trying to, we walk to the chapel to do splits and everytime I feel like I trip and hurt my ankle a little more, but I can feel it getting better. However, I am not taking ibuprofen...está bien! It doesn't hurt that much!  The church is in a circular form. We live about 5 minutes North East of the church, down a street called Juy Juy.  Honestly, I think Tuxtla is larger than Tucson! It is huge! And we are surrounded by mountains, if you think Tucson is surrounded, think again! I legit feel like we are in a bowl! It is green everywere! And even though we are finishing up mango season, we are still eating mangos everyday! It is really weird slurping a super juicy mango out of a hole! This is how we eat mangoes: ...

P-Day is Thursday this week because we are going to the temple that day, so P-Day was moved. Wow! This week was insane!! This will probably be my biggest email ever. As you all already know, we had transfers and we knew I was leaving but didn't know where. Monday night we found out I will be going to the Murray 2nd Ward! And my new companion will be Élder Solis! He was born and raised in Miami Florida, but his parents are from Guatemala. His first language is Spanish, and he just finished his training before I came so he has about 3 and a half months in the mission. He is awesome, loves swimming and volleyball, plus he is also a professional dancer. There are also sisters in the ward now as well because the area is huge. What stinks is that they are on bikes and we are in a car because of my ankle. I would love to drive them places if I could, but I can't. They are awesome though! Their names are Hermana Oteo who is from San Diego, but her parents are from Mexico. She ...
