Not much happened this week...

Besides a BAPTISM!! We had the baptism of J on Sunday and it was awesome! Elder Solis baptized her and Brother Thayne (the member she lives with for now) confirmed her. I gave the talk on the Holy Ghost! It was great. Brother Thayne gave me a good idea of which I will talk about later. President and Sister Hillier were able to come and be there!! It was awesome. J actually asked President to be in the circle for the confirmation too. There must have been 40-50 people at her baptism! It was awesome, and the Spirit, as always, was incredible.

So, in preparation for my talk, we went to Brother Thayne's house to have the baptismal interview. We had a conversation that I won't forget. He first asked us "What is the difference between the light of Christ and the Holy Ghost?" And then he asked a follow up question, "If she has already felt the Spirit, and knows so many things about the church, why is it necessary for her to receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost if she already has it?" The answer; because it is a necessary ordinance. So I used that as my topic for the talk.

This week has gone pretty awesome! Taught my first actual lesson with a golden investigator, who we hope to baptize in 2 weeks! (He is in the plaid shirt in the photo) I also had my first baptism yesterday! It was amazing! I am taking it easy, well trying to, we walk to the chapel to do splits and everytime I feel like I trip and hurt my ankle a little more, but I can feel it getting better. However, I am not taking ibuprofen...está bien! It doesn't hurt that much! The church is in a circular form. We live about 5 minutes North East of the church, down a street called Juy Juy. Honestly, I think Tuxtla is larger than Tucson! It is huge! And we are surrounded by mountains, if you think Tucson is surrounded, think again! I legit feel like we are in a bowl! It is green everywere! And even though we are finishing up mango season, we are still eating mangos everyday! It is really weird slurping a super juicy mango out of a hole! P-Day is Thursday this week because we are going to the temple that day, so P-Day was moved. Wow! This week was insane!! This will probably be my biggest email ever. As you all already know, we had transfers and we knew I was leaving but didn't know where. Monday night we found out I will be going to the Murray 2nd Ward! And my new companion will be Élder Solis! He was born and raised in Miami Florida, but his parents are from Guatemala. His first language is Spanish, and he just finished his training before I came so he has about 3 and a half months in the mission. He is awesome, loves swimming and volleyball, plus he is also a professional dancer. There are also sisters in the ward now as well because the area is huge. What stinks is that they are on bikes and we are in a car because of my ankle. I would love to drive them places if I could, but I can't. They are awesome though!
