Spring is here!

Hello everyone!

This was a pretty good week. We went on splits with our DL and then did a blitz (where every missionary in the district goes to a companionship's area to work for the day) in all of our areas. It was fun! On Friday, during our district meeting, both the zone leaders AND the assistants to the President came to it! It was weird.

Spring is now here! All the trees are getting their wonderful colors. And although the snow has left, it is the rain's turn to come. It has been rainy most of the days this past week. I love it though.

We attended the baptism of our DL and, while they people were changing after the baptism, I was able to give a special musical number! I sang "Abide With Me; 'Tis Eventide", one of my favorite hymns. I think it turned out pretty well.

Love you all!!

James 1:22 - But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

This week has gone pretty awesome! Taught my first actual lesson with a golden investigator, who we hope to baptize in 2 weeks! (He is in the plaid shirt in the photo) I also had my first baptism yesterday! It was amazing!  I am taking it easy, well trying to, we walk to the chapel to do splits and everytime I feel like I trip and hurt my ankle a little more, but I can feel it getting better. However, I am not taking ibuprofen...está bien! It doesn't hurt that much!  The church is in a circular form. We live about 5 minutes North East of the church, down a street called Juy Juy.  Honestly, I think Tuxtla is larger than Tucson! It is huge! And we are surrounded by mountains, if you think Tucson is surrounded, think again! I legit feel like we are in a bowl! It is green everywere! And even though we are finishing up mango season, we are still eating mangos everyday! It is really weird slurping a super juicy mango out of a hole! This is how we eat mangoes: ...

P-Day is Thursday this week because we are going to the temple that day, so P-Day was moved. Wow! This week was insane!! This will probably be my biggest email ever. As you all already know, we had transfers and we knew I was leaving but didn't know where. Monday night we found out I will be going to the Murray 2nd Ward! And my new companion will be Élder Solis! He was born and raised in Miami Florida, but his parents are from Guatemala. His first language is Spanish, and he just finished his training before I came so he has about 3 and a half months in the mission. He is awesome, loves swimming and volleyball, plus he is also a professional dancer. There are also sisters in the ward now as well because the area is huge. What stinks is that they are on bikes and we are in a car because of my ankle. I would love to drive them places if I could, but I can't. They are awesome though! Their names are Hermana Oteo who is from San Diego, but her parents are from Mexico. She ...
