Hello everyone! How's it going?

I'm doing much better than I was right before Christmas! For the three days before Christmas I had a nasty stomach virus. I didn't eat very much if at all. But I'm doing much better now!

A fun experience that I had this week happened on Wednesday. It was my first time shoveling snow! Luckily it was very easy because it was only a few inches. But we ended up shoveling the sidewalks around our whole apartment building! It took us about 45 minutes! I just about froze my butt off.

Christmas was worse. Well, it was awesome because it was my first white Christmas, but it was crazy! The day before practically all the snow had melted and I didn't think I would get a white  Christmas. My doubts ran away as we got about 8 inches of snow! It even got up to a couple of feet in several places, including by the mission home! Best Christmas ever!!

That trench coat is my new favorite thing here. I also wear the North Face jacket. It can get pretty warm. We went caroling on Christmas Day night. Caroling was awesome! There were about 30 missionaries there including 4 companionships of sisters.

Another awesome experience was when we were able to go make breakfast for about 15 children. The place was called the Christmas Box House. It is where kids go when their parents are sent to jail or prison. It was a very humbling experience to see these kids without parents to currently care for them, and when we fed them breakfast their eyes just lit up with so much joy. I loved it.

Other than that, everything is going great! I hope y'all had an amazing Christmas! Feliz Navidad!

Skipping with family on Christmas - our favorite present of all!!

This week has gone pretty awesome! Taught my first actual lesson with a golden investigator, who we hope to baptize in 2 weeks! (He is in the plaid shirt in the photo) I also had my first baptism yesterday! It was amazing!  I am taking it easy, well trying to, we walk to the chapel to do splits and everytime I feel like I trip and hurt my ankle a little more, but I can feel it getting better. However, I am not taking ibuprofen...está bien! It doesn't hurt that much!  The church is in a circular form. We live about 5 minutes North East of the church, down a street called Juy Juy.  Honestly, I think Tuxtla is larger than Tucson! It is huge! And we are surrounded by mountains, if you think Tucson is surrounded, think again! I legit feel like we are in a bowl! It is green everywere! And even though we are finishing up mango season, we are still eating mangos everyday! It is really weird slurping a super juicy mango out of a hole! This is how we eat mangoes: ...

P-Day is Thursday this week because we are going to the temple that day, so P-Day was moved. Wow! This week was insane!! This will probably be my biggest email ever. As you all already know, we had transfers and we knew I was leaving but didn't know where. Monday night we found out I will be going to the Murray 2nd Ward! And my new companion will be Élder Solis! He was born and raised in Miami Florida, but his parents are from Guatemala. His first language is Spanish, and he just finished his training before I came so he has about 3 and a half months in the mission. He is awesome, loves swimming and volleyball, plus he is also a professional dancer. There are also sisters in the ward now as well because the area is huge. What stinks is that they are on bikes and we are in a car because of my ankle. I would love to drive them places if I could, but I can't. They are awesome though! Their names are Hermana Oteo who is from San Diego, but her parents are from Mexico. She ...
