Hello everyone!

If you haven´t heard, I tore some ligaments in my ankle last Friday! It sucked, and I was in a wheelchair for 4 days!

The doctor made a soft cast for me. I have pictures with the cast on and after it came off but not before.
But here is an explanation of what it looked like before the cast; twice as big as in this picture with my whole foot.

So here is how I did it; We were playing volleyball, someone was about to spike it. So I went up to go block it. His foot came down on the ground on our side of the net, and I fell on it weird, and well, the rest is history! I am better now, and I am walking, which is good. I should be able to leave this Monday with the rest of my generation! The doctor said I had a quick recovery. That is because of 2 reasons, and no other. 1) I received a blessing the night of, and 2) I said a specific prayer. I will talk about what a specific prayer is later.

These 6 weeks went by so fast! I cant believe we leave Monday! The two Hermanas who are going to Mérida (México) have to be in the reception office at 2 in the morning! The other 3, including me, have to be in the reception office at 3 in the morning! Those who are going to Tuxtla, our flight leaves at 7:10, so we will probably get there around 930-10. I am so excited!

Now, the specific prayer. Presidente Tenorio (The CCM President) gave a talk on specific prayers. He gave an example when he had a lady come up to him and said that she had a problem. She had two potential husbands, one she was dating, and one that wanted to date her. So Presidente Tenorio told her about specific prayers. That night, the woman said a prayer. He said that this is what she said,"My Dear Heavenly Father, I am greatful for all of my many blessings. Father I have a problem. I have two potential husbands. I want on of them to call me at 130 tonight and say "I was reading in my patriarchal blessing, and it says that I will marry a worthy woman in the templ. I believe this person is you." and that this will be the person I am supposed to marry. Sure enough, it happened! She got a call from the guy who wanted to date her, at 130, saying that exact sentence. Later, Presidente Tenorio got the chance to meet him, and he pulled him off to the side and asked if he knew what he was supposed to do. And the man said, I did not, I just got the feeling to call her, so I did.

I know that specific prayers work. I have a testimony of it. Sunday night, I said a specific prayer. This was a prayer that I won´t ever forget. I still wasn't able to walk Sunday, but I asked Him that by 930 tomorrow morning, I would be healed, and able to walk. I was really eager the next morning and tried to walk at 928. It hurt. But my companion told me it wasn´t 930 yet. Those were the 2 longest minutes of my life. At 930, I tried again, and I was able to walk. I walked to the bathroom and back, just to make sure it was real. I know that specific prayers work. I know that they help, only according to our faith. This is my testimony. If you want to know more about specific prayers, read Genesis 24. The actual prayer itself is in verses 12-14.

Tuesday, we had an amazing last devotional. It was Elder Bednar. He talked on how both Christ and our Father in Heaven both do things "One by One". It was an incredible talk. Then, after the talk, we got the privilege of hearing a new song, made by Elder Bednar and a talented musician of whos name I forgot. The song is called "One by One". That devotional was special, because all those missionaries who were listening to the broadcast from the Provo MTC, all got to hear that new song first, before it was released. The Spirit was so strong that night. The song will be released in the New Era this coming month.

I will end with my testimony, on the Book of Mormon. I know it is true. I know that the teachings contained with in the book are for our benefit. I know that those Profets were called of called to teach and serve the people. I know that through Joseph Smith it was translated. The Book of Mormon is the keystone of our religion. Without it, we could not be a church. I testify of these things to be true, In the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, Amen.

Les amo!

This week has gone pretty awesome! Taught my first actual lesson with a golden investigator, who we hope to baptize in 2 weeks! (He is in the plaid shirt in the photo) I also had my first baptism yesterday! It was amazing!  I am taking it easy, well trying to, we walk to the chapel to do splits and everytime I feel like I trip and hurt my ankle a little more, but I can feel it getting better. However, I am not taking ibuprofen...está bien! It doesn't hurt that much!  The church is in a circular form. We live about 5 minutes North East of the church, down a street called Juy Juy.  Honestly, I think Tuxtla is larger than Tucson! It is huge! And we are surrounded by mountains, if you think Tucson is surrounded, think again! I legit feel like we are in a bowl! It is green everywere! And even though we are finishing up mango season, we are still eating mangos everyday! It is really weird slurping a super juicy mango out of a hole! This is how we eat mangoes: ...

P-Day is Thursday this week because we are going to the temple that day, so P-Day was moved. Wow! This week was insane!! This will probably be my biggest email ever. As you all already know, we had transfers and we knew I was leaving but didn't know where. Monday night we found out I will be going to the Murray 2nd Ward! And my new companion will be Élder Solis! He was born and raised in Miami Florida, but his parents are from Guatemala. His first language is Spanish, and he just finished his training before I came so he has about 3 and a half months in the mission. He is awesome, loves swimming and volleyball, plus he is also a professional dancer. There are also sisters in the ward now as well because the area is huge. What stinks is that they are on bikes and we are in a car because of my ankle. I would love to drive them places if I could, but I can't. They are awesome though! Their names are Hermana Oteo who is from San Diego, but her parents are from Mexico. She ...
